we had clara’s 5th birthday party this past weekend. she really wanted dora theme… =)
similar to last year’s princess party, we wanted the food to be something clara can eat, so the menu was very simple.

triple layered chocolate mousse cake for the birthday girl (will post recipe soon)
For the party favor, we wanted to avoid any food items to give as gifts. Clara loves eating mini tomatoes, so i got garden in a bag – mini tomato (found great discount on land’s end online store, very random) and cute little erasers in fun shapes from Daiso.

Have you posted your chocolate mousse cake recipe? I haven’t been able to find it. I have tried several chocolate mousse recipes, but haven’t found one that has been great yet, so I am interested in your recipe.
i lost the recipe before i got a chance to post the recipe. the cake did turn out pretty yummy, so i will try to rework on the recipe and post it. might not be until summer when the kids are out of school and i will have more time to work on it…
