quick pasta (using Philadelphia Cooking Cream)

IMG_3366

We started using Philadelphia Cooking Cream (Italian cheese & herb) to quickly whip up dinner for clara.  I usually use chicken & vegetables, but whatever i have on hand.  stir fry in olive oil and just add a tablespoon of this creme… it is so yummy and dinner is ready in less than 5 minutes.

we recently started giving a little more carb for clara, so i was able to try adding penne by Atkins today.  for approximately 18 pieces, there are 3g of net carb.

Ingredients

8g Atkins penne (about 18-20 pieces), cook 13 minutes in boiling water

chicken

mushroom (I usually like to use something green like broccoli, asparagus, or spinach to add color to the dish)

1T Olive oil

1T Philadelphia Cooking Cream (Italian cheese & herb)

Directions

in a pan, heal olive oil.  add mushroom & chicken and sautee for 2-3 minutes.  Add cooked penne and stir in the cooking cream.  Mix well.  Ready to serve!

    • It will depend on the ingredients you choose. Here, I have used 22g of cooked chicken and 28g of mushroom to make 1:1 since I was serving ice cream for dessert. Depending on your ratio, you can add little more oil or heavy cream to increase the ratio. Using sausage or bacon instead of chicken will also help with the ratio. I hope this helps.
